The Antelope Hotel Poole is located on the Quay at Poole Harbour, within easy reach of the busy seaside resort of Bournemouth via the A35. The hotel has a 500-year history, arguably the oldest hotel in Poole. This famous old coaching inn on the high street has been a popular meeting place for centuries, and still retains part of its original 15th-cenutry building. The deposed French king, Charles X, was once a guest, and it was regularly used during the Second World War by the Special Operations Executive, who had a ship moored in Poole Harbour. Today, the hotel offers the welcoming atmosphere it always has, in addition to delicious food, a roaring open fire in winter, and 23 comfortable rooms. Each room comes with tea and coffee-making facilities, televisions, air conditioning, free Wi-Fi access, and plenty of other modern amenities. Rooms come in single, double and twin formats, and there are also two feature rooms that make a visit to the hotel extra special. There is also a restaurant serving a delicious seasonal venue, and free parking is available on site.
