The Castle Hotel is a 17th-century farmhouse overlooking the atmospheric ruins of the moated Kirby Muxloe Castle. With a brick exterior and an enviable location just off the M1, it combines convenience with plenty of charm. Originally the castles farmhouse, this traditional pub with rooms was once the biggest employer in the local area, producing quality Leicestershire cheese. Inside, the property still retains much of its historical charm, with open fires in winter, candlelight dining in the evenings, and al fresco dining during the summer months. Guest rooms also include period features such as 4-poster beds in some rooms, and offer free Wi-Fi, tea and coffee facilities, Freeview flat-screen TVs, a private bathroom and hairdryer. Private parking is possible on site and is free to guests.
